Mária Markus
——Slovak Artist——
Academic painter Mária Markus was born in 1973 in Prešov. In 1999, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, majoring in the painting by academic painter Prof. J. Berger and design by academic sculptor Prof. F. Burian. She also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Saint – Étienne, France. In 1999, she enjoyed a study visit in Italy. Currently, Mária Markus lives and works in Bratislava. She exhibits her art mainly in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Poland. In 2000, she was awarded in the “Designlabor Bremerhaven” competition in Germany.
